Getting Started

What is Briezo?

Briezo is an ecommerce analytics dashboard that shows you your true profit — not just revenue or ROAS. It pulls data from your Shopify store, ad accounts, and email platform into one place so you can see exactly what you made after all costs.

  • No spreadsheets. No manual exports.
  • Live ad performance across Meta, TikTok, and Google.
  • Works with multiple stores and brands.

Creating your account

  1. Go to briezo.com and click Get Started Free.
  2. Enter your email and create a password. No credit card required.
  3. You'll receive a confirmation email — click the link to verify.
  4. Once verified, you'll land on the onboarding flow to add your first store.

New accounts start on the Free plan. Upgrade anytime from the Billing page.

Adding your first store

  1. After signup, the onboarding wizard will prompt you to Add a Store.
  2. Enter your store name and select your platform (Shopify or WooCommerce).
  3. Follow the prompts to connect your store — Shopify uses OAuth, WooCommerce uses API keys.
  4. Set your COGS (cost of goods sold) as a percentage or fixed amount per order. This powers the True Profit calculation.
  5. Done — your store data will start syncing. First sync may take a few minutes.

🔌 Connecting Integrations

Shopify Auto-installed

If you install Briezo from the Shopify App Store, your store is connected automatically via OAuth during the install flow — there's nothing to paste. The Briezo Web Pixel is installed to your storefront at the same time, so first-party tracking starts collecting events immediately.

If you signed up on briezo.com first, go to Settings → Stores → Add Store, enter your myshopify domain, and you'll be redirected to Shopify to approve the install.

Meta Ads OAuth

Go to Settings → Integrations → Meta Ads and click Connect Meta. You'll be redirected to Facebook to authorise Briezo. Select the ad accounts you want to pull data from and confirm. Available on all plans. Data refreshes every 30 minutes.

TikTok Ads OAuth

Go to Settings → Integrations → TikTok Ads and click Connect TikTok. Log in to your TikTok for Business account and grant access. Select the ad account to connect. Available on Pro and Agency plans.

Pinterest Ads OAuth

Go to Settings → Integrations → Pinterest Ads and click Connect Pinterest. Sign in to your Pinterest Business account and select the ad account to connect. Briezo pulls spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, and pin-level performance. Available on Pro and Agency plans.

Snapchat Ads OAuth

Go to Settings → Integrations → Snapchat Ads and click Connect Snapchat. Authorise with your Snap Business Manager. Select the ad account. Available on Pro and Agency plans.

Klaviyo OAuth

Go to Settings → Integrations → Klaviyo and click Connect Klaviyo. You'll be redirected to Klaviyo to authorise. Once connected, Briezo pulls attributed email revenue, campaign and flow performance, and list growth metrics.

Mailchimp OAuth

Go to Settings → Integrations → Mailchimp and click Connect Mailchimp. Sign in to your Mailchimp account and select the audience to sync. Briezo pulls campaign open and click rates, revenue per send, and automation performance.

Omnisend API Key

In Omnisend, go to Account → Integrations → API Keys and generate a new key. Then in Briezo go to Settings → Integrations → Omnisend and paste the key. Briezo pulls campaign and automation revenue, along with SMS performance if you use Omnisend SMS.

Recharge API Key

In your Recharge merchant portal, go to Integrations → API keys and create a new key with read permissions. Paste it into Settings → Integrations → Recharge in Briezo. This enables subscription revenue tracking in your True Profit calculation.

Loop Returns API Key

In Loop, go to Settings → Developers → API and copy your API key. Paste it into Settings → Integrations → Loop Returns in Briezo. Return data is factored into your net revenue and profit figures.

📊 Using the Dashboard

Understanding True Profit

True Profit is the core metric in Briezo. It's calculated as:

  • Revenue (from Shopify)
  • minus COGS (your cost of goods — set per store in settings)
  • minus Ad Spend (from your connected ad accounts)
  • minus Refunds & Returns (from Loop, if connected)

The result is your actual profit — what you keep after running the business. You can adjust your COGS percentage at any time in Settings → Store Settings, and your numbers will update instantly.

Reading your ad metrics

The Ads section shows performance across all connected ad platforms in one table. Key columns:

  • ROAS — return on ad spend (revenue ÷ spend)
  • CPC — cost per click
  • CTR — click-through rate (clicks ÷ impressions)
  • Hook Rate — percentage of people who watched past 3 seconds (video ads)
  • Frequency — average times your ad was shown to the same person

Ads with a yellow or red indicator have triggered a creative fatigue alert — high frequency or a significant CTR drop. These are worth reviewing before they drain budget.

Email revenue tracking

If you've connected Klaviyo or Omnisend, Briezo shows email-attributed revenue alongside your ad spend. This helps you understand your blended CAC and see how much of your revenue is coming from owned channels vs paid.

Email revenue appears in the Revenue Breakdown section of the dashboard. You can toggle individual sources on and off to compare them.

Switching between stores

If you have more than one store connected, use the store switcher in the top-left of the dashboard. You can also view a blended overview that combines metrics across all stores — useful if you're running multiple brands.

Each store has its own COGS settings, integration connections, and data history.

Changing date ranges

Use the date picker in the top-right of the dashboard to select your range. Available presets:

  • Today, Yesterday
  • Last 7 days, Last 30 days
  • This month, Last month
  • Custom range

Date ranges apply globally to all metrics on the page. Ad data history depends on your plan (30 days on Starter, 90 days on Pro, unlimited on Agency).

Key Features

Daily AI Brief

Every morning, Briezo emails you a short written summary of what happened across your stores yesterday: revenue, ad spend, ROAS, standout creatives, creative fatigue warnings, and the two or three actions we recommend you take today. It's generated from your own data by Claude (Anthropic).

  • Enable from Settings → Alerts & Reports → Daily AI Brief
  • Pick delivery time in your store's timezone
  • Send to email, Slack, or both
  • Treat the "Today's actions" block as a starting point, not gospel — the numbers are exact, the recommendations are Claude's opinion

RFM Customer Segmentation

Every customer is automatically placed into a segment based on three dimensions: how Recently they bought, how Frequently they buy, and how much Money they've spent. Briezo shows the four headline segments you actually care about:

  • Champions — your best customers. Recent, frequent, high-spend. Protect them.
  • Loyal — frequent buyers but not quite top spenders. Upsell opportunity.
  • At Risk — used to buy a lot, haven't recently. Win-back window.
  • Lost — haven't purchased in a long time. Aggressive reactivation campaigns only.

Find the RFM tab in the Customers section. Export any segment as a CSV to use in Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or Meta custom audiences.

Competitor Intelligence

Add up to 10 competitor Shopify stores to your watchlist (25 on Agency). Briezo takes daily snapshots and shows you:

  • New products launched — with titles, prices, and images
  • Price changes — markups, discounts, restocks
  • Tech stack — apps they're running (reviews, upsell, subscriptions, page builders)
  • Live ads — pulled from Meta Ad Library and TikTok Creative Center where available
  • Theme and page changes — redesigns, new collections, new landing pages

Go to Competitors → Add Watchlist. All you need is a public Shopify URL. No login or API key required — everything is scraped from public store data.

First-party tracking pixel

Briezo installs a first-party Web Pixel on your Shopify storefront automatically when you install the app. The pixel sets a first-party cookie on your own domain (not ours), captures page views and purchase events, and passes ad click IDs (fbclid, gclid, ttclid, etc.) through to your reports.

Why it matters:

  • Survives iOS 14+ tracking restrictions that break third-party pixels
  • Works even if a visitor blocks Meta or Google tracking
  • The attribution data is yours — not rented from Meta
  • Powers four attribution models in Briezo: Last Click, First Click, Linear, and Position-Based

To verify the pixel is installed, go to Settings → Tracking Pixel. You should see "Installed & collecting events" along with a live event count.

P&L, LTV & Cohorts

Briezo computes a full profit and loss statement from your data, including:

  • Profit per product — revenue minus COGS minus allocated ad spend per SKU
  • LTV curves — how much the average customer spends in their first 30, 60, 90, 180, and 365 days
  • Cohort retention — what percentage of each month's new customers come back in subsequent months
  • Blended CAC vs LTV — are you actually acquiring customers profitably?

Set your COGS per product or as a blended percentage in Settings → Store Settings → COGS. The P&L updates instantly.

Creative Scorecard

The Creative Scorecard ranks every active ad creative across all platforms so you can see which hooks and angles are actually pulling their weight.

  • Hook Rate — percentage of viewers who watched past 3 seconds
  • Hold Rate — percentage of viewers who made it to 15 seconds
  • CTR & ROAS — click-through rate and return on ad spend per creative
  • Fatigue flag — rising frequency with falling CTR (yellow) or sharp CTR drop (red)

Find it under Ads → Creative Scorecard. Sort by spend to make sure your biggest bets still perform.

Post-purchase attribution survey

Adds a "How did you hear about us?" question to your Shopify thank-you page. Answers are recorded against the order so you can build a true-attribution view alongside click-based attribution.

Enable it from Settings → Post-Purchase Survey. Customise the question and answer options. Responses appear in Attribution → Post-Purchase, and can be cross-referenced with click attribution to spot channels (influencers, podcasts, word-of-mouth) that the pixel can't see.

Settings

Team members (Agency plan)

Agency plan subscribers can invite additional team members to the account. Go to Settings → Team → Invite Member, enter an email address and a role (Viewer or Admin), and Briezo sends an invite link. Invited users create their own login and can see every store on the Agency account. Remove team members at any time from the same page.

Scheduled reports

Briezo can deliver a snapshot of any dashboard view on a daily or weekly schedule to email or Slack.

  • Go to Settings → Alerts & Reports → Scheduled Reports
  • Pick a dashboard (Overview, Ads, Customers, P&L, etc.)
  • Choose frequency, delivery time, and recipients
  • Slack: connect your workspace from the same page — posts to any channel your workspace allows

Alerts & anomaly detection

Briezo watches your KPIs in the background and pings you when something breaks pattern: a sudden spend spike, a conversion rate drop, a creative fatigue threshold, or a refund surge. Configure which metrics you want alerts on in Settings → Alerts & Reports → Alerts. Alerts can be delivered via email, Slack, or both.
